Back home. The World War 2 American dog tag mystery solved

The American World War 2 dog tag mystery, see the post for October 13, has been solved and with a happy ending. Samuel P. Loftus' dog tag has been re-united with his family in Portland, Oregon, a great result.
Sam was in the US Army and fought in the European theatre, returned to his home and then some years later he was re-mobilised and fought in the Korean War too, sadly Sam died in February 2008.
This successful result was due in no small amount to the efforts of Olive Tree Genealogy in the USA and, of course, their readers and researchers.
A big thank you to you all.
