Big eye in the sky

This is the all-seeing eye in the heavens peering down at us while we peer up in return and it is quite unnerving really. The phenomena appeared quite suddenly when the conditions were obviously just right; a hazy sky with no clouds. We think it is called either a Halo Arc or a Circumzenithal Arc. The weak rainbow colours were rather fine but only to the naked eye, not my camera.
The pilots of the F15s, Tornados and big airborne tankers must get a fantastic view up there high in the sky, never mind the view of the landscape below.
We really are quite jealous of their high speed up and down viewpoint.
